Our Foundation
- Dr. T. Umakanthan, the visionary founder, established the remarkable replica of Gokul in the serene region of Uttar Pradesh, within the enchanting realm of Tamil Nadu at Bodinayakur, Theni. This splendid creation "Sri Gokulam Annadhan Temple" boasts a magnificent temple complex comprising of Annadhan hall, dedicated to the noble act of providing food. And the Temple adorned with lush greenery and surrounded by a vibrant Nandavanam, teeming with the harmonious coexistence of trees, shrubs, birds, and the beauty of nature.
Our Principle
- PREACHING of Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and other vedic literatures.
- ANNADHAN to the needy.
- Annadanam – the sacred offering of food – is an ancient and beautiful expression of this ethos.
- At Sri Gokulam Annadhan Temple, Annadanam is offered to the people including poor and needy, residents, volunteers, sanyasis and all daily visitors with NO bar on religion/caste/language/location/etc.
- Prepared with complete dedication, the annadhan meal is offered to the presiding deities of the Temple, and is served to all people in a grand annadhan hall of Sri Gokulam Annadhan Temple, with the benevolent blessings of the Goddess of Food Annaporna Devi.
